Morshedul Haque, CPA
Morshedul Haque, CPA is a financial professional with over 15 years of accounting, tax and business consulting experience. After graduating from Baruch College in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, he worked in both public and private accounting gaining valuable experience in alternative investment vehicles, real estate, commercial business and high net worth individuals. Morshedul gained his CPA license and completed his Masters of Science in Taxation from the Tobin School of Business at St. Johns University.
Morshedul worked in the dynamic environment of big 4 CPA firms, where he specialized in tax and accounting issues of Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Fund of Funds. The issues he dealt with ranged from consulting on specific transactions to dealing with mergers and acquisitions in the alternative investment space, as well as structuring investments in the Hedge Fund and Private Equity industry. He worked on several significant due diligence projects for both the acquirer and the target company.
He also spent several years working in a mid-sized CPA firm where he gained valuable experience working on middle market alternative investment funds and the personal tax returns of the principles and owners who operated and managed the investment entities. Morshedul dealt with tax issues in front of the IRS and state tax departments.;
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and traveling and reading.
